Homeworld concept art

Homeworld was the game that really took space strategy games to a new level with beautiful space backgrounds, lighting, shots, explosions and above all really well-designed spaceship designs: These should primarily be inspired by the works of Peter Elson which is also well worth a look.

On this page I've assembled the pictures I've copied from around the net. Since I haven't had time to compare them with the official concept art gallery, I'll have to do some pruning and adding when I have time for some serious internet browsing.

Click the images to enlarge, and don't forget to have a look at the official ship database, and large (semi?) official concept art gallery.

Redscout

Being one of the coolest spacecrafts in the Homeworld universe, this craft was selected for a group moc study on CSF. Unfortunately I was the only one that actually finished a lego version that you can see here.

Shrike Interceptor

Another cool spacefighter. Tromas made this cool lego version of it.

Really huge capital ship, perhaps an early version of the mothership?

He later used it to make this excellent lego model.
