Test your colour preferences

So, which colours do you like, which colours do you use, and which colours should you start hoarding? Time for a little experiment!

Start by going through all your lego boxes, picking a piece of every colour you have - preferably medium sized parts.
Separate the colours in those you like and the dogpile
Now separate the colours you like into those you actually use, and into those you don't.

Now it's time to find some answers:

Why aren't you using colours you like?
What makes you dislike the colours in the dogpile? Is there more than one reason?
Try to arrange and re-arrange the piles to create some sort of system.
Leave the parts on the table for a couple of days pondering and rearranging before you proceed to the next step (it's your preferences you're interested in, not mine! :)
